Got your diploma? You’ll be honoured at the Mid-Autumn dinner
If you’ve graduated this year, the family wants to know. At the Mid-Autumn dinner we call you forward for the graduation award: a token of appreciation after your diploma, presented with the whole family watching.
- PRESENTED
- Mid-Autumn dinner · Tuesday 22 September 2026
- WHO
- Relatives who have completed a course of study
- WHAT YOU GET
- Free dinner, a prize, a certificate and a red envelope
- CONDITION
- You’ll need to be there in person
- Before 1 September, with the association
The association has been rewarding academic achievement for years, to encourage relatives in their studies. It isn’t financial support along the way but a moment after the diploma: your name is read out, you receive the prize and the certificate from the board, and the room applauds.
That moment isn’t just for you. For the older generation it’s proof that the hard work here has paid off – and for the younger cousins in the room, a reason to keep going.
Any one of these three is enough. The board sets the assessment criteria and looks at your result.
- A university degree
- A completed HBO course (university of applied sciences)
- VWO, HBO or MBO completed with excellent grades
How to sign up
Send your name, how to reach you and your result to the association – an email is enough, and a photo of the diploma is welcome. Rather call? George K. H. Mun will go through it with you.
Don’t forget to sign up for the dinner itself as well – the award is presented during the evening, so you need to be at the table.
Graduated but not yet been in touch? Call or email George – he’ll see whether it can still happen this year.
Signing up for the Mid-Autumn Festival. Coming to dinner this year? Let us know by WhatsApp or through the form and we’ll set a place for you.
